We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team focused on advancing product development and R&D projects. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing next-generation metrology systems by translating innovative concepts into mechanical designs and rapidly iterating prototypes. This position requires collaboration across various technical fields, including electrical, mechanical, optical, firmware, and software. Role and Responsibilities:Take ownership of key subsystems designs from concept to release too manufacturing including developing concepts, detail design, detail drawings & BOM's, tolerance analysis & procurementUnderstand key requirements, create specification and other technical design documentsPerform risk analysis and mitigate where necessary by experiment, FEA analysis or other relevant method Prepare and conduct reviews at all phases of designProcurement and management of key suppliersPrepare test plans, build prototypes and conduct or supervise tests to validate designs Requirements:Mechanical Engineer with at least a BS degree and 10 years or more of experience in Semiconductor equipment related fieldExpertise in high vacuum designExperience with precision lens & camera mounting, X-ray and or E beam opticsGood modelling, detail drawing practices and an understanding of GD&TProficiency in SolidWorks & SolidWorks PDMPrevious experience with Semiconductor Capital equipment a plusGet to know us betterNova (NASDAQ: NVMI) is a global company and a leading provider of innovative metrology solutions for process control in semiconductor manufacturing.With a team of ~1200 people in three R&D centers and 27 field offices, we bring insights into the world's most advanced industry.
