Logistics Specialist 3 - 14541Length of Contract: 12+ months Location: Santa Ana, CAWork Schedule: Fully onsiteTop Three Skills:Solid MS Office (Excel, Word)Experience working with an ERP (TMS, WMS)Transportation operationLogistics Specialist/Return Transportation CoordinatorUnder the supervision and guidance of a Transportation Manager, the return transportation Coordinator is responsible for the delivery order life cycle and transportation load planning associated with client products, including load creation, carrier assignment, tracking/tracing, customer delivery, and customer product returns and claims. The coordinator ensures all deliveries are effectively translated into a systemic load plan within the Transportation Management System (TMS and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to achieve sales targets and meet customer delivery expectations.Role and ResponsibilitiesProven experience communicating and working with multiple divisions (customer service, transportation, returns, etc.) to meet customer expectations.Background and experience in key functions of the Supply Chain - including but not limited to Warehousing, Transportation, Reverse Logistics, Returns Management, and Customer Service.Ability to create dynamic reporting for key measurable and performance tracking.Ability to identify process improvements with attention to detail.Various systems management (internal and external) to accomplish daily/weekly/monthly tasks.Ability to proficiently manage multiple tasks/projects while staying organized in day-to-day activities.Work directly with 3PLs to resolve customer complaints and issues.Documenting and data collection for supporting departments/activitiesAbility to make decisions based on cost and service drivers to better serve the organization.Work with multiple divisions throughout the supply chain, warehouse, customer service and transportation teams meeting all key performance indicators and customer expectationsSupport carrier routing, tendering, training and support through TMSPrepare and update standard operating procedures for documenting department activitiesCreate dynamic reporting for key measurable and performance trackingIdentify process improvements with attention to detailProficiently manage multiple tasks/projects while staying organized in day-to-day activitiesDocumenting and data collection for supporting departments/activitiesThe ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documentsExercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsEducation, Skills, and Years of ExperienceBachelor's degree3+ year of applicable experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
