Scope of Work: CRES is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Policy Coordinator professional to assist the Vice President of Policy & Advocacy and the broader CRES teams. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth administrative operations, support policy-related tasks, and facilitate coordination within the team and with external stakeholders. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in administrative support or a junior Congressional staffer with a strong interest in policy and advocacy work. Responsibilities: Administrative Support for Policy Team:Assist the VP of Policy & Advocacy with scheduling, calendar management, and travel coordination. Maintain organized records of policy briefs, reports, and other key documents. Meeting and Event Coordination:Schedule and prepare for internal and external meetings, including drafting agendas, taking minutes, and tracking follow-ups. Support the preparation of materials for presentations, policy discussions, and stakeholder engagements. Assist in the coordination and execution of CRES policy and advocacy events, in collaboration with the External Relations team. Document Management:Assist with formatting, proofreading, and organizing policy-related documents such as memos, briefs, and correspondence. Manage team documentation, ensuring timely updates and version control. Research and Information Support:Conduct preliminary research to assist in policy analysis and advocacy efforts. Help track and organize policy developments relevant to CRES's mission. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:Work closely with the Government Relations, Communications, and External Relations teams to support policy-related initiatives. General Administrative Duties:Provide logistical and operational support for team projects and events. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Energy: Displays a positive and enthusiastic demeanor that motivates and engages colleagues and stakeholders. Education and Experience: Required:1-3 years of experience in an office setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams. Preferred:Bachelor's degree in related field. Experience in a non-profit, advocacy, trade association, government, Congressional, public policy organization, or working on the Hill. Familiarity with legislative processes or previous experience supporting Government Relations or Policy teams. Proficiency with Salesforce or other database management systems. Basic understanding of energy, climate, or environmental policy topics.
