Raw Materials SpecialistLocation: Manhattan, NYCompany: Leading Women's RetailerPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Raw Materials Specialist to join our team in Manhattan, NY. As an individual contributor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of colors and fabrics across garments and components, contributing to the exceptional standards of our brand.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the quality and consistency of colors and fabrics, ensuring final product excellence.Assist in the technical development, pre-production, and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through the production lifecycle.Conduct regular visits to company stores to evaluate the quality and consistency of fabrics and colors under various store lighting conditions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality and material standards.Provide guidance to the Assistant Textile Technologist.Reporting Structure:Reports to the Manager of Textile Technology.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in technical education or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in fabric and color development, preferably in a retail or apparel setting.Proficiency in Excel, Centric, PowerPoint, and Adobe SuiteSkills and Competencies:Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Ability to analyze and resolve fabric and color-related challenges effectively.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Join our team and contribute to shaping the future of a leading women's retailer through your expertise in raw materials and textiles.
