A food manufacturing company is seeking a Bilingual English/SpanishFoodQuality Assurance Manager to join their team in Ontario, CA. This position is responsible for creating/maintaining the regulatory food safety and quality compliance activities. A bachelor's degree in Food Science/Microbiology or related field, 5 years of experience with food or ingredients/manufacturing experience, supervisory/management experience, knowledge of food manufacturing and QA procedures and practices,knowledge of Food Processing equipment - preferably in a RTE facility, and the ability to speak Spanish is required. This is a full-time, exempt, in-person position, with excellent benefits and 401k. [Work schedule: Mon-Fri, Early morning shift]Bilingual English/SpanishFoodQuality Assurance ManagerDuties:-Responsible for communicating all food safety & quality issues that are encountered throughout daily operations to appropriate parties for corrective action to be taken.-Responsible of managing an in-house microbiological testing laboratory and lab staff.-Managing QA document and record keeping-Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and properly stored.-Performs and monitors quality control testing/sampling of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products.-Tests packaging to ensure maximum shelf life-Implementing food safety program in the plant and contribute to the continuous improvement-Serves as primary contact for all quality and food safety audits and inspections.-Monitors quality audit program for the production facility to ensure company and regulatory compliance standards are met for product quality, sanitation and process controls.-Serves as primary contact for customer complaints.-Manages and monitors all quality training including HACCP, GMP and food/work safety standards.-Routinely participate in mock recall throughout the year.-Work with management team to identify and resolve problems.
