Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities:Partner with Sales as part of pre-sales activities to effectively communicate technical value proposition of our client's products.Development of reference designs with our client's chips and modules.Assist customers with design review, bring-up, chip integration, and HW/RF related debugging and testing.Develop, document and maintain hardware & code to showcase and demonstrate features of an embedded system, primarily focused on wireless LAN.Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand the details of specific use cases and translate this to technical requirements and documentation.Support internal and external customers with design & development activities.Support Western US customers.Travel to customers as needed.What they're looking for:Field Application Engineer with 4+ years relevant industry experienceExcellent verbal & written communication skillsBSc or MSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Computer EngineeringExpert in embedded C programmingExperience with RTOS and understanding of Linux development environmentsKnowledge of wireless hardwareUnderstand bench measurements of RF characteristics.Good understanding of the IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi protocolStrong problem-solving skills and thorough methodical work styleMust be articulate with the English language and capable of producing clear and detailed documentationMust be comfortable with interacting with customers in person and via conference callsCooperating with R&D team for issue resolvingWorking with sales team to achieve design-win and develop new accountsAbility to travel up to 50% of the time, dependency on customer activity/needsWhat they offer:Competitive salary + excellent stock option packageIncome Protection InsuranceHealthy work environment with sit/stand desks and large screensJoin a high performing, inclusive company where you can make a real impact
