Senior Investment Analyst

Located in Westport Connecticut, this firm is seeking a candidate who is a motivated self-starter, with a background in financial services and a demonstrated track record of sound commercial decision-making and strong technical proficiency across data management, operational risk management and reporting. This position represents an opportunity to join a young, growing company, as part of a small team in building and shaping the company.Roles Duties & Responsibilities:Drive deal processes, and associated due diligence activities, for potential Fund investments, and present results to senior management and investors;Manage, monitor and review in-force investments of the Funds; Source and analyze data from multiple sources to generate structuring, risk assessment, and new product/investment opportunities across the Funds;Build relationships with core service providers, including Third Party Administrators (TPA's), to manage underlying fund operations;Create and maintain internal dashboards that measure both fund performance and performance of TPA's;Assist in investment reporting and risk management broadly across the Funds;Create and present executive level reporting;Job Qualifications and Requirements:BA/BS with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field;5+ years of experience in financial services environment;Detail oriented with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills;Self-starter with ability to work independently in an autonomous environment;Ability to clearly assimilate and articulate complex matters, both verbally and in writing;Ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple objectives;Aptitude to learn the company's investment management and due diligence process;Comfortable with investor reporting and financial calculations;Strong written communication skills for both internal and external communication;Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel;Understanding of VBA & SQL is an advantage.A background check and pre-employment screening is required and must be successfully completed prior to employment.
