Must Haves:Licensed Professional Engineer, eligible for registration in multiple states.More than 5 years of engineering experience, predominantly in bridge design, with proven project experience.Experienced in analyzing and designing structures using industry-standard software such as OpenBridge Designer (LEAP Bridge Concrete & Steel), FB-MultiPier, and PTC Mathcad.Proficient in creating bridge plans using CAD software, preferably Bentley OpenBridge Designer.Experience with ITD, UDOT, WSDOT, WYDOT, and LHTAC projects is a plus.Knowledge of multiple design materials and various construction types is advantageous.Skilled in coordinating engineering work and collaborating with other disciplines and clients.Capable of mentoring junior engineers and providing client input as necessary.Positive attitude towards colleagues and clients, aligning with company culture.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.Based in Boise or willing to relocate.Physical Requirements:Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.Occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions as needed.Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a vehicle.Day-to-Day:Insight Global is looking to add a Bridge Design Engineer to our team. Working under the direction of a Bridge Group Lead/Project Manager, you will independently handle detailed phases of design engineering for projects of various sizes and complexities. This role involves planning and executing engineering tasks autonomously, applying professional engineering judgment to solve diverse engineering problems. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and review their designsKey Responsibilities:Conduct structural calculations and analysis on bridge structures, including modeling and detailing structural drawings with minimal supervision.Engage in bridge projects involving steel plate girders, prestressed concrete, segmental and cable structures, box culverts, and interchange designs for highways and railways.Utilize standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized design and analysis software, perform structural load calculations, and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.Produce designs and contract documents, including reports, specifications, plans, and construction documents that adhere to industry and company standards.Collaborate with internal and external teams.Review, assign, and verify design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.Initiate or support marketing efforts with prospective clients.Additional responsibilities will be discussed as needed.
