The primary purpose of the Senior Project Manager role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. The role will work with technology teams and lead overall project management and planning for the Professional Services and Managed Services organizations within CLIENT, including customer-facing and non-customer facing engagements. The Senior Project Manager will report into the CLIENT PMO organization. ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of complex projects that span one or multiple lines of businessProvide project leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesFull project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneouslyManage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectivesReport on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activitiesWork creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellenceParticipate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organizationPrepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chair the project management team meetingsProvide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating to CLIENT leadership and CLIENT CustomersUnderstand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needsSupport formal/informal schedules to manage the engagement contractUnderstand the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and servicesManage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issuesSet and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholdersDelegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnelMonitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverablesDevelop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholderIdentify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors, and stakeholdersCoach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program teamDeliver appropriate and effective management level communicationEnsure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standardsManage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baselineExtensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniquesQualificationsBS/BA from an accredited college or university; ten years of relevant corporate PMO experience in a consultative of service organizationDesirable certifications include (not all required): PMP, PgMP, PRINCE II, CSM, CBAP, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agile, ITIL, ITSM, Lean Six SigmaProficient with Microsoft tools - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, etc.Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizationsProven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellenceExcellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demandsResearch best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve resultsExperience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget closeExperience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal, external & third-party resources, while holding team accountable for performanceStrong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of managementFlexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesTechnically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, Connectwise & JIRAMinimum 5 years work experience in a professional services or consulting environmentKnowledge of major business technologies is a bonus (such as Cloud, Microsoft, and Cisco)The ability to lead and mentor junior and intermediate PM's enabling growth and continued success, is a plusExcellent business acumen and strong written, verbal and presentation skillsNot afraid to break ground on new relationships and skillfully overcome challenges with customers and team membersAbility to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines
