Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

We are representing an industry leading Aerospace/Defense organization who is actively seeking a Quality Engineer for their Cleveland manufacturing campus due to newly awarded business. This organization has experienced consistent growth and maintains a strong financial position.POSITION OVERVIEWCoordinates the development of standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.Develop, organize, and maintain systems used to verify product conformance to accepted quality standards.Participates in new program/manufacturing plan (launch) meetings.Build quality into the product and process through the use of APQP toolsInvestigates/supports corrective action activities required by either internal or external customer concernsReview of Quality System documentation, instructions, procedures and quality manuals, and ensuring operations is in complianceInterface with customers on quality needs and assist in processing, investigating and answering customer complaints.Candidate will work closely cross functionally with other departments for project based work inclusive of Industrial Engineering (Process Improvement Initiatives)POSITION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field preferred3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within highly regulated industry. This can include AS9100, ISO9001, IATF-16949, etc..Metals/Metallurgy/Materials Science background highly preferredCandidate should have experience utilizing problem solving methodology in an effort to implement corrective actions to mitigate issue.
