Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in Elwood, IN and we are looking for candidates that have experience being a hands-on process engineer spearheading projects from start to finish, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, and experience working within manufacturing environments.APLLY NOW!Responsibilities:Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.Lead cross-functional project teams to execute capital projects, process improvements, and new product launches.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope.Design and test new processes, equipment, and workflows to improve production capabilities.Create detailed project plans, including objectives, milestones, risk assessments, and contingency strategies.Act as a liaison between engineering, production, and quality teams to align process improvements with business goals.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during process and project execution.Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports to communicate project and process performance to stakeholders.Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Train and mentor production staff on new processes, procedures, and best practices.Manage supplier and vendor relationships for project materials, equipment, and services.Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.Maintain thorough documentation of process designs, project plans, and improvement initiatives for future reference.Present updates to senior management, highlighting project progress, challenges, and solutions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or related engineering5-10 years of experience in industrial environment preferably food/beverage manufacturingExperienced in food safety, hygienic design, international aseptic, beverage and juice standardsHands on mechanical experience and capability; able to troubleshoot complex mechanical machineryProven experience with pumps, valves, instrumentation, pneumatics, and process designProven experience with different fabrication methods used with stainless steel construction including welding methods, materials selection, surface finish requirements and finishing methodsExperienced in thermodynamics calculations, heat exchanger calculations and design (plus)Steam and condensate, industrial HVAC, and metallurgy
