PowerOn Symitar Development Manager

MUST HAVE:Open to hands on development while managing team of two. Will be doing development and code review. Symitar or PowerOn Development experienceOpen to coming onsite to Irvine 2x a week. Position SummaryThe Symitar PowerOn Application Development Manager is accountable for the design, build, implementation, and support of vendor packaged and internal custom solutions that support the Credit Union's core banking platform (Symitar) and other enterprise applications in alignment with our strategic plan and technology roadmap. S/he leads application architecture, design, development, and delivery of business solutions that optimize operational efficiency through technology and automation. Using independent / discretionary judgment and under minimal supervision / direction, this position manages a team of Developers and collaborates with Business Units and internal IT Teams on the delivery of enterprise solutions that support the organization's operational needs while leveraging product-focused agile solution delivery processes, CI/CD automation and DevSecOps practices. Additionally, s/he will be driving innovation efforts that deliver meaningful growth and operational efficiencies for the Credit Union.In addition to having excellent problem solving skills, solid software engineering discipline, and expertise in Symitar PowerOn, the IT Solution Delivery Manager must be an initiator, self-motivated, creative, agile, accountable, and must be able to balance efficiency with effectiveness. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are a necessity.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college / university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in architecting, designing and delivering enterprise-scale business solutions.Must Have 5+ years of hands-on experience developing, integrating and supporting core banking application (Symitar / RepGen / PowerOn).3+ years of leadership and people management experience with an emphasis on coaching, mentoring, guiding and motivating technical team members on project / product delivery and career / professional development.3+ years of experience in project leadership, resource planning, and financial management.Experience in leading solution delivery efforts in an agile environment with extensive working knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), component-based development (CBD), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) and DevSecOps practices.Hands-on experience with agile tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft DevOps), Gitlab, Postman, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, SSO, OAuth, cloud (AWS and Azure) services, and relational database (such as Microsoft SQL Server).Proficiency in modern development technologies like .NET, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript.Working knowledge of / experience in on-premises and cloud architecture, design patterns, container technology, orchestration services, event-driven microservices (REST / SOAP or JSON / XML), micro frontends, API management / gateway.).
