This individual will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of high-end fashion construction, ensuring that every garment fits perfectly and meets the exceptional standards of our brand. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform high-end alterations, fittings for women's luxury garments, ensuring perfect fit and precision.Possession of strong technical background in specialty skills such as double face wool, double face cashmere, embroidery, silk etc.Expertise with all garment fittings, marks on garments, construction, and knowledge of fabrics, and styling and manufacturing techniquesDeliver exceptional service that fosters long-term relationships with clients while providing expert advice to clients on garment fit and styling optionsWork closely with the sales team to assess customer needs and create tailored solutions.Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and care for garments during the alteration process.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all work is completed in a timely and professional manner.Continuously educate yourself on new fashion trends, fabrics, and tailoring techniques to enhance the customer experience.Perform and complete fittings and deliver quality workmanship of alterations according to Akris standards.Organize workload and complete items in timely manner and demonstrate proficiency in operating all tailor equipment.Uphold the brand's reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and luxury service.Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of experience in tailoring for luxury fashion, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality workmanship.Expertise in women's tailoring, with a deep understanding of fabric types, garment construction, specifically working with double face wool, double face cashmere, silk and embroidery.Accurate fitting of garments on the client that produce successful alteration outcomeExperience working in a high-end retail environment or boutique, ideally on Madison Avenue or in similar luxury markets.Exceptional attention to detail and a refined sense of style.Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with high-profile clients.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Experience working with high profile clients and celebrities, as well as stylists and personal assistants. Highest level of diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment with limited supervisionOpen to learning and developing new skills and processes.Flexibility to work a retail schedule which will include weekends and holidays.
