Job Title: Construction EstimatorLocation: Webster, TX 77598 (Onsite)Full Time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans, assessing material and labor costs, and providing accurate estimates for construction projects. This role plays a critical part in the planning and execution phases, ensuring projects are completed within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to prepare cost estimates.Conduct site visits to gather information on conditions, measurements, and potential challenges.Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs and incorporate them into project estimates.Develop detailed and itemized cost breakdowns for construction projects.Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to gather project details and ensure alignment.Research and source competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.Monitor market trends, labor rates, and material costs to maintain up-to-date cost data.Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.Adjust estimates based on project scope changes or unforeseen circumstances.Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and company standards in cost assessments.Maintain detailed records of all estimates, bids, and contracts.QualificationsProven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar tools).Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.Key CompetenciesProblem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate and detailed records.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
