A well-established workers' compensation defense firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team. This role involves providing comprehensive support to attorneys, including transcribing legal dictation, preparing trial documents, and managing case files. The ideal candidate has strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and a friendly, professional demeanor. Must reside in California. Not considering out of state candidates. Key ResponsibilitiesTranscribe legal dictation for status reports, conference summaries, and settlement documentsProofread and correct materials for grammar, spelling, and format accuracyPrepare Pre-Trial Conference Statements, settlement documents, and trial exhibitsMaintain and organize case files and logs in a paperless environmentAccurately document and bill tasks in accordance with billing proceduresTop Skills2-5+ years of workers' compensation defense experienceStrong computer skills, especially in a paperless environmentFriendly, professional personalityBenefitsemployee medical and vision insurance401(k) and other standard benefitsPaid parking if working in-officeHoursMonday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (7.5-hour day with a 1-hour lunch)This fully remote opportunity offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a chance to join a supportive, tech-forward legal team.
