Technology EngineerJob SummaryTechnology Engineer role will use their skills to maintain, troubleshoot and advance technology used in cloud and on-premises based environments including administration and integration with various third-party applications and services. Participates in projects both within IT and interfacing with other business units as well as with third party businesses. Partakes in IT process improvement to ensure improved stability, performance and security through documentation, automation, standardization, and other steps as identified by the team lead or management.Core DutiesEnsure observability for all of environments and applications including all in-house and cloud network, server, and platform operating systems and applications, including configurations, testing and maintenanceProactively observers and improves observability tools to identify potential issues while recommending and implementing solutions Engage with management regularly with reports on project status, activities, and achievementsMaintain network, system designs, inventory and documentation. Participate in new technology identification, testing and deployment that align with company goalsCreate and maintain custom scripts for standardization and automation of environmentInstall and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staffEnforce security policies, initiatives, and compliance reporting.Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measuresMaintain network and system monitoring tools.As part of the IT Operations team, the Technology Engineer contributes to projects and coordinate team members from internal and external groups to drive projects to successful completionProvide status updates and reporting on projects to team leads and/or management teamParticipates identifying process improvements within IT Ops and other teamsCollaborates with Development, QA, Security and Service Delivery to identify, resolve and document issues and processesContributes to improve security policies, initiatives, and compliance reportingEnsures performance and stability through the use of monitoring tools and alerting across all in-house and cloud network, server, and platform operating systems and applications, including configurations, testing and maintenanceIdentify potential issues, recommends, and implement possible solutions.Collaborates with teams to improve network, system designs, inventory, and documentation.Participation in rotating afterhours on call dutiesRequirementsBachelor's Degree, IT, Computer Science, or related field; or 4 additional years of professional exempt level IT Technical experience in a similar role to substitute for the bachelor's degree7 years of professional level IT systems engineering experience which includes a combination of:Windows server 2012 R2 +.Active Directory, DFS, GPO and other Microsoft technologies.Office 365, Azure AD, MS Teams & SharePointTerminal Services (Microsoft RDS preferred)Virtualization technologies and multi-tenant, private and hybrid cloud environments.Strong system administration Experience in scripting (Powershell, etc) and building required automation Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.Preferred:Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.Network, Telecom and SDwan ExperiencePreferred, but not required experience in Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)SCCM administration and support
