About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to design and implement advanced control systems for power electronics applications. This role is pivotal in developing embedded software solutions and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, including DO178. If you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and are passionate about cutting-edge power electronics, we encourage you to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesControl Systems Design: Develop and implement advanced control algorithms for 3-phase active rectifiers and motor control electronics.Software Development: Create embedded software requirements and write optimized code for power electronic applications.System Design: Contribute to system architecture, developing subsystem designs that balance requirements, cost, and reliability.Testing & Debugging: Perform source and assembly-level debugging for power electronics controllers.Performance Optimization: Collaborate with control system engineers to enhance software performance.Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to review software designs and participate in design reviews.Team Leadership: Lead or support small-to-medium-sized software development teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with vendors, customers, and internal departments to address technical issues.Documentation & Compliance: Create software requirements specifications, hardware/software interface control documents, and verification plans to validate compliance with customer requirements.Standard Work Improvement: Assess existing processes and lead improvement projects to drive efficiency and quality.What We're Looking ForTechnical Expertise:Strong background in embedded software architecture and design for power electronics.In-depth understanding of active rectifiers, PFC, inverters, and motor control software.Experience with communication protocols (CAN, ARINC429, SPI, I2C, RS-232).Familiarity with aerospace regulations such as DO178, DO160, and DO254.Tool Proficiency:Hands-on experience with PSIM, MATLAB, and Simulink.Expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, and scripting (Perl/Python/PowerShell).Proficiency in developing firmware on platforms like TMS320F28XX DSP, PIC16XX, MC68XXX, or X86 DSPs/Microcontrollers.Knowledge of LabVIEW for software development.Soft Skills:Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Proven leadership and mentoring skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrated work ethic and drive to meet and exceed engineering standards.Why Join Us?This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and innovative environment.
