Job Title:Architectural Sales Account ExecutiveLocation: Los Angeles, CA Class: FulltimeExemption Status: ExemptThe Architectural Sales Account Executive is a skilled level sales position and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys selling beautiful high-end products and can use their independent judgment and discretion to perform services for, and manage, customers with little to no supervision! This position is responsible for handling sales in the architecture, and design industry, supporting the daily Showroom sales activities, and managing customer relations.ResponsibilitiesEstablishes and nurtures relationships with Trade Partners (architects, designers, etc.) that result in consistent sales growth.Schedules appointments, and visits to existing and potential customers to present product samples and services. Work with the Branch Manager on weekly schedule for outside calls to drop samples, visit job sites, and conduct presentations.Establishes new accounts and partnerships; builds a relationship with customers. Collects information to record opportunities and track the projects.Attends industry events: showroom events and local trade networking functions to build a customer base. Events may be outside of showroom hours.Listens to and resolves, with little to no supervision, customer complaints regarding service, products, or personnel. Notifies management of complaints received regardless of urgency. Offers excellent service to clients in the showroom.Oversees showroom customer service and/or sales support team in sending samples, completing quotes, holds, sales orders, and arranging deliveries.Manage customer projects and guide them through design/ product selection, applications, and specifications.Enters orders and processes paperwork following established procedures.Follow established sales procedures and pricing policies.Meets sales goals and objectives assigned by the Branch Manager.Meets with the Branch Manager on a weekly basis to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, and expand markets and business base.Prepares reports of activities and assigned accounts for the Branch Manager on a weekly basis, or as requested.Develops and maintains product knowledge of merchandise and available sales promotional materials.Follows up on assignments or projects assigned by the Branch Manager.Perform other duties as assigned and assist with projects as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, architecture, interior design, or related field preferred.Two to four years of sales experience in an architectural and design environment is required.Knowledge of stone and tile and the ability to read Architectural plans are preferred. Prior experience working with the trade industry is preferred. Interior design background a plus.Excellent client service skills, people skills and enjoy building relationships.Must have a valid/active driver's license and must be able to travel within designated territory.Must be able to work weekend hours as needed.Effective communication skills.Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and successful at prospecting for new accounts.Detailed and excellent follow-through.Proficient in using Microsoft Office.The work environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor. May be exposed to heat, cold, dust, and loud noise (warehouse).
