This is a key role part of the executive leadership team reporting to the President & CEO. You could be right for this role if your expertise is in designing and executing strategy for an organization's overall objectives around workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement and fostering a culture of inclusion while overseeing all aspects of HR practices and policies. Candidates with deep local roots and who are active in community associations both personally and professionally will stand out!A day in the life:Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing strategic leadership on all HR matters, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.Collaborate with executive colleagues to support organizational transformation, leadership changes, or organizational restructuring Oversee and maintain employee files and records in HRIS system.Oversee all core functions of human resources and corresponding HR team members, including talent acquisition, development, performance management, employee relations, leave/accommodations, succession planning, workplace injury claims, and separations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of the HR function as well as organizational-wide approach to culture, employee engagement, and talent retention.Act as a trustee and administrator of health and welfare benefit programs, including self-funded health plan management, 401k/retirement programs. Works closely with benefits brokers in negotiating benefit contracts and initiating benefits revisions and enhancementsFunction as primary contact with labor attorneys and government agencies to ensure compliance, limit risk, and act in line with organizational values. Lead salary administration and compensation programs; maintain HRIS systems; coordinate closely with Payroll/Finance departmentsOversee multiple committees supporting employee wellness, inclusion and resourcesYour areas of knowledge and expertise:10+ years of experience in human resources in closely aligned industries Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.Preference to candidates that maintain credentials as a Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP or SPHR).Experience being a part of an executive leadership team and managing a team of multiple direct reports required.Strong understanding of Federal and State employment laws, including protected and paid leave management.Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and retirement plan administration. Experience managing third-party vendors, including contract management.Understanding of self-funded health benefits models preferred.
