Premier Brands Group Holdings currently has a great opportunity for an Associate Knits Designer. The Associate Designer will assist the design director with the execution of vision, style, and aesthetic, for the designated brand. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Assist in product development at all stages under guidance of designers: sketching, detail sketches, pulling yarns and stitches, tech-packing (proto stage), trend presentation brochures, presentation boards etc.Seasonal yarn and knit down developmentCoordinate samples: check in proto & salesman samples; arrange samples & rolling racksMeasure protos in preparation for fittingAssist in generating & update line sheets & color cardsUnderstand the customers by doing market researchDevelop comprehensive knowledge of the customer & competitionShop retail floorConcept researchAdhere to due dates for all stages of designAble to adjust to changing business needsAdjust to Time & Action calendar changesSend out and follow up on packages for overseas vendorsCoordinate sample requests from sales & marketing etc.Attend fittings with production and technical designWork with design, sales and production to effectively communicate departmental needs and design requests.Participate in group meetings & trend shoppingTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum of an associate's degree in Fashion or BA in related scienceMinimum of 2 - 3 years of professional experience in knits categoryKnowledge of Gauge, Stitches and Garment ConstructionKnowledge of Illustrator, PLM and photoshop is a mustAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented and meticulousExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSalary Range: $60-75K Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.We are an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer.
