Litigation Paralegal

Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli is a fast growing civil defense law firm with 70 lawyers and over two decades of continued service to our corporate, insurance, and individual clients. We continue to experience staggering growth and are searching for full-time Paralegals for its Fort Lauderdale office with 3-5 years of civil defense experience. Hybrid (remote/in-office) schedule. We expect a team mentality and a tenacity for the clients' interests.Job duties may include:Assist with case managementObtain, review and analyze documents, including medical records and financial records, tax and employment records, or any other relevant informationProvide a medical record chronologyPrepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness filesCompile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries, and databasesManage files and documentsCoordinate with support services and clients, opposing law firms, and courtsCollaborate with internal team to manage court docket calendarGenerate status reports, logs, and indexesCorrespond with clients and opposing law firmsLegal researchResearch and analysis of case issues, including medical research of facts, medical articles, and expert articles.Communication of issues with experts and investigation and analysis of expert qualifications and experience, including prior transcripts, testimony and articles.Perform additional duties as requiredBe a team player that works well with othersJob Requirements:At least 3 years of civil defense or related experience.Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree preferred, or commensurate job experience.Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.Ability to work overtime when neededLOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY (Fort Lauderdale area)We offer a competitive salary - usually amongst the highest in the field - and we expect experience and drive that can measure up.
