Job Description: Business Analyst - Securities Lending (10c-1a Expertise)Location: Midtown, New York CityWork Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per weekType: Long-term Consulting AssignmentPosition Summary:We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in Securities Lending and expertise in SEC Rule 10c-1a to join a leading financial services organization in Midtown, NYC. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across trading, compliance, and technology to ensure seamless compliance with regulatory requirements and operational efficiency in securities lending processes.Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Compliance and OversightInterpret and implement SEC Rule 10c-1a requirements within securities lending operations.Collaborate with compliance teams to monitor regulatory developments and adjust processes accordingly.Ensure accurate and timely reporting to meet all 10c-1a requirements.Business Analysis and DocumentationConduct in-depth analysis of existing securities lending processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.Document business requirements, workflows, and use cases to align with regulatory and operational objectives.Stakeholder EngagementAct as the primary point of contact for business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.Partner with trading desks, operations, and IT to design solutions that address business needs and regulatory mandates.Solution Implementation and TestingSupport the development and implementation of tools and systems to enhance regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.Develop and execute test cases to validate system changes and ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements.Data and ReportingOversee the generation and validation of 10c-1a-specific reports to ensure compliance and data accuracy.Analyze securities lending data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on securities lending or similar financial services.Demonstrated expertise with SEC Rule 10c-1a and its operational implementation.Strong understanding of securities lending workflows, including collateral management and loan pricing.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL, with experience in regulatory reporting.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into actionable insights.Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Preferred Skills:Experience with securities lending platforms (e.g., EquiLend, FIS).Knowledge of financial data standards such as FIX protocol or SWIFT messaging.Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, FINRA licenses) are a plus.Why Join This Assignment?This is an excellent opportunity to work with a high-performing team in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, contributing to regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a critical area of financial services.
