PositionThe Marketing Assistant supports the marketing department by carrying out the daily tasks that keep the department functioning and facilitates the duties of the Marketing Manager as well as Commission staff from other departments as needed. This role has a specific focus and responsibility toward planning and executing marketing events and tradeshows in the local and national markets. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter who is capable of working cross-functionally on the planning and the implementation of marketing projects and events. You will need to display versatility to handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.A cover letter and resume are required for further consideration for this position.MarketingHelp plan and execute marketing campaigns Assist in directing graphic designers and vendors to create engaging marketing materials such as brochures, merchandise, newsletters, and digital assetsMonitors and manages social media accounts, including creating and posting content and engaging with followersWrite, edit, and proofread communications and marketing materialsBrainstorm and pitch creative content ideas that align with brand goalsHelp create and manage content across various websitesAssist the Marketing Manager with administrative tasksUndertakes ad-hoc marketing projects and collaborates across other departments as neededEventsServe as end-to-end lead on all LWC-sponsored eventsCollaborate with the Marketing Manager to identify and evaluate opportunities for brand exposure at local and national festivals and tradeshowsConduct site visits and secure event venuesHelp negotiate contracts with venues and vendorsServe as primary, onsite point of contact for participants, vendors, volunteers, and sponsors during eventsCoordinate event ticket sales Maintain accurate records of event data, including attendance, feedback, and outcomesAssist in post-event reporting and analysis to identify areas for improvementMaintain a list of available caterers and equipment rental suppliers to support eventsClean, store, and maintain inventory of marketing materials and equipment following each eventAdministrative Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate departmentsWork with the Marketing Manager and other departments as needed on preparing reports, documents, presentations, or any type of document needed to support the business Maintain various databases and listsQualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or equivalent 1-2 years prior experience in marketing, sales, advertising, promotions, digital media preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong results orientation and project management skills. Excels at juggling a wide range of administrative and marketing support projects to meet project goals and timelines. Flexible when needs and priorities shift.Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is considered an advantage.Ability to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings as needed. Occasional travel including overnight(s) to and from events as needed. Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License and have reliable transportation to and from the workplace and during working hours Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (a case of wine) A cover letter and resume are required for further consideration for this position.CompensationWages commensurate with experience.
