Interaction Designer

Our client, a leading global e-commerce platform, is seeking a Remote Conversational Designer to join their team through the end of June, with potential for extension. In this role, you'll design and develop conversational interfaces for customer self-service solutions and agent-facing productivity tools. Collaborating closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and customer service teams, your work will aim to create seamless, engaging, and effective conversational experiences that elevate the customer journey.You'll have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge customer service platforms and explore growth opportunities by integrating the latest LLM-based AI technologies into conversational design.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and design effective conversational experiences.Create conversation flows, scripts, and user personas to guide development.Conduct user research and testing to ensure interfaces are engaging and meet user needs.Continuously refine conversational interfaces based on user feedback and data insights.Stay current with trends in conversational design and AI technology.QualificationsBachelor's degree in design, computer science, or a related field.3+ years of experience in conversational design or a related role.Strong understanding of conversational AI technologies and best practices.Experience designing and developing chatbots, IVR systems, or other conversational interfaces.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Experience:Hands-on experience with Kore.ai BotBuilder, Google Dialogflow CX, or similar conversational AI tools.Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models.Background in UX design and user research.Position DetailsDuration: Through the end of June, with potential for extension.Location: Fully remote.Time Zone: PST.Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.Pay Rate: $60-$70 per hour (W2).The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
