Senior Network Engineer

Links Technology Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Sr Network Engineer to fill an opening with an IT Services and IT Consulting company. Responsibilities of the Sr Network EngineerConfigure and optimize network switches, routers and firewalls.Configure Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)Manage application layer filtering on NextGen Firewalls.Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking, vlans, and virtual routing and forwarding (VRFs).Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.Diagnose network connectivity problems.Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.Monitor network capacity and performance.mitigate network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.Configure and manage a VMware Cluster to support multiple tenant systems.Qualifications of the Sr Network EngineerMaster's degree in STEM AND 10 years' experience, ORBachelor's degree in STEM AND 12 years' experience, ORHigh school diploma and 15 years' experience as a Network EngineerExperience with Cisco IOS and PAN-OSExperience with VMware/ESXiExperience with Switch VLAN setupExperience with VMware virtual NIC config for isolationAbility to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.Active TS/SCI security clearance with full scope polygraph ( current CI, under 6 years aged)Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA)Active Cisco certificationUnderstanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirementsREQUIRED: TS SCI with Full Scope PolygraphBenefits of the Sr Network EngineerLocation: Onsite role in Columbia, MDSalary: $110k - $130K Direct Hire roleMedical/Dental/Vision401k MatchingCompetitive PTO
