Asset Coordinator

Job Description:The IT Asset Inventory Analyst is responsible for carrying out the ITAM process cycle. These responsibilities include detailed record keeping, completing audits at various locations across the environment, and collaborating with other teams to ensure the lifecycle of assets adhere to the process. They will provide support for the IT Asset Manager as needed. Technicians must have reliable transportation as travel is required.In greater detail:•Work with Receiving to ensure deliveries are accepted and accurate•Escalate discrepancies to ensure all items are accounted for•Breakdown and route equipment to various storage locations•Maintain detailed records of inventory to provide accurate data across the environment•Document client requests, projects and pipeline to increase the team's efficiency•Assist with distribution of assets to make sure purchase orders are filled•Organize and coordinate deliveries with the HMH courier service•Maintain accurate client and custodian distribution and contact lists•Identify and escalate discrepancies in the inventory• Review and maintain CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to monitor and manage all devices and assets Identify best use through auditing of database and hardware, cross-checking of servers for relevant devices (e.g. radio's, laptops, mobile data) to meet auditing requirements.• Manage and maintain the life-cycle of devices to include provisioning, repairing and de-commissioning to ensure efficient and effective best use of assets.• Create articles for the knowledge database to ensure effective information sharing within the team.• Responsible for the authorized issuance, audit and return of assets• Responsible for managing the requests for loan hardware, including the recall of loaned items, to ensure the hardware items can be tracked and managed.Resources will need to lift boxed on a stead basis, Unpack as needed.
