ROLE SUMMARYWe are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Packaging Designer with a strategic mindset and experience in package design and production processes. This role emphasizes implementing international packaging layouts and supporting the Sales team with line reviews and mockup creation. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a passion for continuous growth and excellence in design.RESPONSIBILITIESPackaging Production: Create and update packaging layouts across multiple product categories.Mockup Creation: Build in-house mockups to support line reviews and customer requests.Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration.Compliance Assurance: Ensure packaging graphics comply with R&D, Legal, and QA standards, with accurate copy verification.Vendor Communication: Collaborate directly with global print companies, understanding and meeting their requirements to prepare mechanical, print-ready files.Design Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Creative and Brand and Senior Designers to align deliverables with design expectations and objectives.Pre-Production Processes: Proof, pre-flight, prepare, and press check files for production, ensuring high-quality outputs.File Management: Maintain and organize all design files systematically for easy access and updates.QUALIFICATIONSProficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with emphasis in Illustrator and Photoshop (including image compression, file correction, and optimization techniques).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteSolid understanding of the packaging industry, including dielines, UPCs, materials, and finishes.Familiarity with printing processes, including preflight preparation, production, and press checks.Experience working within corporate brand guidelines.A strong graphic design foundation with expertise in color, typography, and composition.Portfolio showcasing professional packaging design work (required).Educational Background: At least Associates degree (2-year) in a related graphics field.Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience in packaging design.Experience working with Packaging Engineers a plus.Familiarity with the Kongsberg X series cutting table a plus.Knowledge of the Adobe Workfront project management tool a plusComfortable working on both Mac and PC platforms.OTHERRelocation and/or work sponsorship are not available with this position.Position is expected to continue through 2025, with a possible extension into 2026Position is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with up to 5 days in office during the onboarding periodPosition is located in Wilmington, MAYou will not be an employee of LEDVANCE but will be paid through our 3rd party vendor as a contract employee
