In North America, Stant is headquartered in Connersville, IN with a satellite office in Rochester Hills, MI.Quality Lab Technician Key Functions: The Quality Lab Technician is primarily responsible for the measurement and evaluation of test parts in Mechanical Testing using specialized equipment and analysis techniques. The Technician will prioritize incoming workload to ensure continuous operation of the lab and deliver timely measurement results.Calibrate instruments and equipment for conformity with specifications.Conduct necessary quality inspections using CMM, smart scope and other measurement equipment and techniques.Assist with problem solving and root cause analysis / corrective actions to address issues found during inspections.Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results.Ensure outgoing products are following the required specifications.Assist with training and instruction for production operators in QA measuring procedures. Develop and maintain calibration procedures and work instructions Provide management with detailed quality reports as required - daily, weekly, monthly, etc.Maintain plant equipment and gauge calibration schedule within budget. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Qualifications: Five (5) years' experience in metrology / lab calibration, quality, manufacturing or engineering.High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Quality Management System knowledge and experience [IATF16949, ISO-9001, and/or ISO 17025].Experience with CMM, Optical comparator, and Contour Trace equipment Familiarity with dimensional inspection gagesAdvanced print reading skillsBasic math skillsAbility to follow written and verbal work instructions Computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Exhibit, promote, and encourage open, effective communication within and across departments and facilities.Be enthusiastic, hard-working, results oriented with a can-do attitude.ASQ Certification preferredWork Environment: Fast-Paced Manufacturing
