The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless integration of systems, and supporting the overall technology environment. The Platforms Engineer will work closely with the IT team to maintain and improve our cloud and on-premises systems, focusing on automation, backup and recovery, security vulnerability remediation, and system integration.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other AWS services.Maintain and support VMware vCenter environments for virtual machine management, migration, and optimization.Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) environments, including user accounts, group policies, and domain services.Develop, test, and deploy scripts to automate common administrative tasks and system configurations (e.g., PowerShell, Python, BashManage and support Microsoft Office 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.Implement and maintain backup and recovery systems and methods, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness. Experience with Druva Backup and Recovery a plus.Design and implement system integrations between various applications, platforms, and tools to streamline operations.Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system performance issues to ensure optimal service delivery and system uptime.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including patch management and system hardening.Remediate security vulnerabilities across systems and environments, ensuring compliance with security standards and frameworks.Utilize security platforms such as Rapid7 and CrowdStrike to proactively monitor, detect, and respond to potential security threats.Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the infrastructure.Qualifications3-5 years of proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.3-5 years of experience with VMware vCenter for virtualization management highly preferred.3-5 years of in-depth experience with Active Directory (AD), including administration, user/group management, and policy implementation.Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate system tasks and processes.Extensive experience managing Microsoft Office 365 environments, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions, such as Druva, ensuring data protection and system reliability.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies. Experience with security vulnerability remediation and understanding of security best practices.Familiarity with security platforms such as Rapid7 and CrowdStrike to identify, monitor, and mitigate security risks.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
