LMSW - Social Worker Location: Brooklyn, NYSchedule: Mon-Fri, 9AM - 5PMSalary: $61,000-$72,000Additional Compensation: $1,000 sign-on bonus and $2,000 retention bonus after one year of employmentAbout the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting youth and families by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess treatment needs, plan and coordinate services, and provide short-term interventions as necessary. The ideal candidate will uphold our organization's mission and work to help individuals see their potential.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct intake and admissions activities in collaboration with other team members.Initiate discharge planning and build permanent connections for participants.Perform psycho-social evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and coordinate evaluations by other providers.Facilitate treatment team meetings, develop treatment plans, and ensure their monitoring and implementation.Work with the team and placement services to facilitate transitions to long-term care or discharge.Coordinate mental health-related activities and provide crisis intervention services.Provide short-term individual and family therapy where appropriate and support behavioral management interventions.Facilitate psychoeducation groups for participants.Promote permanency through reunification, foster placements, adoption, and alternative living arrangements.Maintain proper record-keeping and documentation in compliance with regulatory agencies.Implement Sanctuary Model tools and practices to create a trauma-sensitive culture.Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings.Perform additional duties as required.QualificationsLicensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.Minimum of two years of experience in child welfare or a related setting.Master's degree in Social Work required.Experience working with youth and families, including crisis management and intervention.Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to use public transportation and attend off-site meetings or home visits.New York State Driver's License preferred.Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with possible on-call responsibilities.Commitment to a strength-based, youth development perspective, and trauma-informed care.
