Job OverviewWe are seeking a results-driven and experienced Director of Accounting Operations to oversee and optimize our accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, streamlining operations, and driving organizational success through sound financial management.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to ensure team success.Operational OversightManage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.Financial Reporting and AnalysisOversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on financial data and analysis.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement technology solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.Lead initiatives to modernize systems and workflows, ensuring scalability for growth.Strategic CollaborationPartner with the finance and executive leadership teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.Provide leadership in special projects, including system implementations, audits, and mergers/acquisitions.QualificationsExperience:5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.Soft Skills:Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
