The firm's leadership has a strong track record of delivering flexible capital solutions to private equity sponsors across diverse industries. They are seeking an experienced Principal or Managing Director to join their New York City team. This pivotal role will focus on sponsor coverage, deal origination, and contributing to deal execution and underwriting.Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Managing Director, you will play a critical role in expanding the firm's footprint in the LMM space. You will work closely with private equity sponsors to originate transactions. Additionally, this person will be responsible for helping to grow, manage and develop the junior resources on the team.Key Responsibilities:Build, nurture, and expand new and existing relationships with LMM private equity sponsors to uncover new lending opportunities.Develop targeted marketing plans to enhance current relationships and win new business mandatesKey Requirements:Bachelor's Degree from a top undergraduate programProven track record of originating opportunities from LMM sponsorsDeep understanding of lower middle market sponsor-backed transactions and the private equity landscape10+ years' financial sponsor private equity coverage, with strong rolodex of LMM sponsorsWell-developed relationships with key capital markets stakeholders at private equity firms, other lenders, and asset managersDeep knowledge in private equity landscape, investment strategies and market influencesAbility to successfully work in a small, collaborative team environmentSelf-starter and entrepreneurial spiritAbility to travel as requiredAuthorization to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.Compensation:There will be a base salary of up to $300,000 plus an additional performance bonus . The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant's qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances
