Who We AreThe Research Triangle Foundation ("Foundation", "RTF", "Research Triangle Park" or "RTP"), is a mission based not-for-profit which strives to serve the residents of North Carolina through economic development partnerships and initiatives. RTP is a 7,000-acre Science-Research Park located in the center of the Triangle region. Historically, the Foundation was built on a revenue model of land sales. Today, the Foundation sits in the master developer driver's seat for a 100-acre site within RTP known as Hub RTP ("Hub").Who We Are Looking ForThe Digital Media Manager is a full-time position at the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina (Foundation), owner and developer of the Research Triangle Park (RTP). With guidance from the Creative Director and in alignment with the Foundation's goals and operational priorities, the Digital Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing and social media content campaigns designed to amplify RTP's brand voice, build awareness and expand reach to engage key audiences. Primary focus areas include social media content development, partner and influencer engagement, and visual storytelling through video production, photography and graphic design. The Digital Media Manager plays a key role in driving online visibility, brand awareness and audience engagement. This position works collaboratively to align shared media channel efforts with integrated marketing campaigns for RTP and its brand entities, including but not limited to Hub RTP, Horseshoe RTP, Boxyard RTP and Frontier RTP. Organizational RelationshipsReports to the Creative Director as an integral part of the Marketing and Communications Team. In addition, this position will regularly interact with and support the Foundation's leadership and departmental teams. Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and optimize digital media marketing strategies aligned with business goals and brand identities. Seek innovative approaches to enhance RTP's online visibility, reach and engagement across digital and social media platforms. Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to stay ahead in the digital landscape. Develop and manage a content calendar to consistently plan social media content, video series, influencer activations and similar digital marketing campaign content. Establish workflows and content development policies to effectively manage incoming content requests against planned campaigns. Create, schedule and publish content based on target audience and brand voice for social media platforms such as: Meta Business Suite (Instagram/Facebook), LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels. Work collaboratively to identify priority audiences, craft engaging messages and define calls to action. Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across various social media channels, including paid advertising, boosted posts, sponsored content or hosted content creator agreements. With direction, manage the annual digital marketing budget, including content management tools and subscriptions, paid advertising, boosted posts, sponsored content, hosted influencer visits, video production and similar spend, working closely with the Creative Director, leadership team and finance departments to evaluate needs throughout the fiscal year. Evaluate and manage annual subscriptions and renewals for content management tools, digital media platforms and related services. Maintain vendor database of photography, videography, editing and other related partners, noting MWBE status. Serve as day-to-day contact for creative vendors and agency partners, as assigned. Serve as the primary marketing and communications department liaison for RTP brands, as assigned. Identify and manage the creation of social media guidelines, template graphics and resources for approved content managers to support the overall social media strategy. Following AP Style, apply professional writing skills to draft social media captions, video scripts, talking points, blog posts and similar content, managing proper review and approval processes. Maintain social media profiles to ensure accuracy of information across all RTP brand entities (i.e., URLs and multi-link tools, messaging, hours of operation, contact information). Manage proper content review and approval processes with internal team members and external partners. Monitor and manage responses to direct messages via social media platforms. Manage administrative rights and publishing access for all social media accounts and subscription tools. Maintain account security best practices by protecting passwords, managing two-factor authentication and evaluating login access measures every six months. Develop and implement strategies for distributing video content across various channels, including social media, websites and other platforms. Develop creative concepts for video content creation and coordinate pre-production logistics, including scriptwriting, storyboarding and scheduling. Supervise videographers, editors and other production vendors, including on-set activities to direct video subjects, camera operators and other participants. Execute and/or oversee the post-production editing process, ensuring that the final product meets high-quality standards, technical specifications and brand guidelines. Optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the performance of digital marketing initiatives, developing quarterly reports making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Conduct annual audit of social media performance, summarizing qualitative and quantitative insights. Consistently maintain project management tools to manage assignments and meet deadlines. Engage with Foundation and RTP Owners & Tenants Committees, as required, including but not limited to participating as a committee representative on behalf of the marketing and communications department. Support maintenance and upkeep of tagging protocols for customer relationship management tools (i.e., Levitate). Perform similar duties as required or assigned. QualificationsMust be based in North Carolina or willing to relocate. Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications or 5+ years in content creation, video production and/or portfolio of creative work. Proven experience in digital marketing, with a focus on strategy development and execution. Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools and best practices. Proficiency in analytics tools, SEO, and SEM platforms. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Creative thinking and the ability to adapt to changing digital trends. Understanding of platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels. Understanding of brand building and leveraging social media for business. Understanding of professional video production, filming and editing. Flexibility to attend events outside of typical office hours. Copywriting experience; Ability to write copy that embodies different brand voices but knows when (and how) to bend the rules. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Team player and problem solver. Ability to manage time and priorities and understand how to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong oral and written communication skills Desired QualificationsAn understanding of the Triangle Region. Knowledge of influencer marketing. Knowledge of audio, video and podcasting experience. Experience using social media analytics tools and implementing data-driven changes. Basic skills in creative software of choice: Canva, Adobe, etc. Physical DemandsAbility to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management co-workers. Regular use of email and chat for communications is essential. Sitting for extended periods of time is common. Set-ups and needs may require a fast-paced approach at times. Hearing, vision and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive information and to prepare/inspect documents. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment, such as computers, calculators, copiers, etc. is required.
