Catering Sales ManagerSheraton Hotel Pittsburgh - Station SquareJob Overview: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting, booking, and coordinating banquet and catering functions to ensure customer satisfaction and hotel goals. This role involves managing client relationships, developing creative event concepts, and collaborating with various hotel departments to deliver exceptional service.Key Responsibilities:Actively solicit new catering business through prospecting, networking, and sales calls.Respond to incoming catering inquiries promptly and professionally.Develop and present proposals tailored to clients' specific needs and budgets.Negotiate contracts to maximize revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.Collaborate with clients to plan and execute events, including menu selection, room setup, and audiovisual requirements.Ensure all event details are communicated effectively to relevant departments for seamless execution.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.Address and resolve any client concerns or issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.Achieve or exceed catering sales revenue goals.Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to effectively position the hotel's catering services.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of hospitality experience with a preference for experience in catering sales, event planning, or a related field.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
