Cobol Developer

Seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to support the legacy Justice Court Find Information System (JCFIS) and contribute to the JCF Modernization Project. The role involves development, debugging, technical analysis, and collaboration with project teams and end-users.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and develop mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, MVS JCL, VSAM, and IBM utilitiesGather and refine system change requirements with business analysts and users.Perform unit testing, debugging, and Quality Assurance testing.Provide production support for batch and online processes, including after-hours on-call support.Collaborate on modernization efforts, including legacy system analysis, data extraction, and parallel testing.Mandatory Skills and Experience:10+ years of experience in all facets of the software development lifecycle.60+ months of experience in:Procedural programming (e.g., COBOL).Debugging and problem resolution.JCL programming and technical writing.12+ months in a leadership or project coordination role, including off-hours support.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
