Sahm Technical Installation/Service Technician

American Starlinger-Sahm, Inc. (ASSI) is seeking a Technical Service/Installation Associate to operate out of our Technology Center in Fountain Inn, SC for the Sahm Division. This is a challenging growth opportunity in an expanding international environment.ASSI is a member of the Starlinger Group (). Starlinger is a world market leader in the field of machinery and process technology for woven plastic bags and offers the greatest scope of machines and lines worldwide.Sahm is also a world market leader in winding technology for Multifilaments, Monofilaments, Tapes and Carbon Fibers. Sahm products offer solutions for precision cross wind and parallel wind applications.Training will be in our Technology Center in Fountain Inn, SC as well as at our manufacturing facility in Germany. The extensive training will take a minimum of one year and will be under the guidance of experienced technicians. Once trained, some of the job duties and responsibilities will be:Overseeing and conducting demonstrations at the Technology Center on our machinery for potential customers. This includes recording data and working with sales for follow up with the customers and interaction with the parent company in Germany.Installation at customer sites for new machines that have been sold and will be installed in the North American market as well as worldwide.Training of customer's personnel to operate, service, and perform preventative maintenance on Sahm machines.Sell and perform technical service checks and make recommendations to customers as needed.This position will require approximately 50% domestic and international travel.Computer skills required, and CRM experience preferred.HMI, Drives, and Microprocessor Programmable controller knowledge a plus.Experience in electrical and electronics required, mechanical engineering preferred.This person will have constant interaction and full support from the Sahm team that will enable them to shape and grow the after sales and service market for the North American area.
