Robert Half Legal is partnered with a premier law firm in Columbus that is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary. The ideal candidate must have 2+ years' experience supporting litigation attorneys. Specific experience in real estate litigation is a plus! The firm offers a competitive compensation package as well as flexibility! The firm prides themselves on their collaboration as a team and their positive work environment!Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day schedules of the attorneys, including but not limited to managing attorney calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings, filing requirements, discovery and evidence-gathering, opening and sorting mailPrepare and edit documents such as letters, memoranda, briefs, pleadings, agreements, contracts, and other legal documents from forms, original handwritten materials, or dictationConsistently open, maintain, and organize case filesReview and revise monthly billing forms for accuracy and completenessPrepare exhibits and witness filesAnswer telephones and accurately take and relay messages while exhibiting poise, calm, and professionalismArrange for video conferencing, depositions, and meetingsCommunicate, both orally and in writing, with clients, court reporters, opposing counsel's staff, and internal colleaguesPrepare spreadsheets and presentations using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, as well as using Relativity in connection with e-discoveryProcess reimbursements, expense reports, and check requestsQualifications: 2+ years working as a legal assistant or paralegal supporting litigation attorneysMust have a BA/BS Proficiently use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet research skills, document management systems, attorney time entry software. Advanced experience with calendar management through OutlookExhibit high levels of organization and attention-to-detailComfortably work under extreme deadlines while remaining calm and organizedDemonstrate organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize more than one task for more than one attorneyBuild collaborative relationships with other functional areas within the Firm to meet deadlines and solve issues, demonstrating professionalism with internal and external clients, and maintaining the ability to anticipate and act as a member of the team by assisting when and where the Firm needs their help
