Through our work, customers appreciate their plants and outdoor spaces.What would you do from day-to-day, and what are the requirements?As the "Master Gardener" of Atzinger Gardens, you are directing all gardening decisions for 100+ beautiful gardens in and around Ann Arbor. Use your leadership, spirited care for people, and knowledge of plants and ornamental gardening to grow and lead a dedicated gardening business in its daily operations. Devote yourself to our client's enjoyment of their gardens through leading and training a small, dedicated crews of gardeners. Serve as the head gardener, inspiring customers with your ideas, making your ideas come to life, and directing their healthy growth.Serve as primary point of contact for clients of gardening accounts, conduct regular client meetings, anticipate needs, quality control, ensure requests are met and problems are solvedFulfil the sales role for gardening clients, communicate recommendations, set up new jobs and side projects.Manage projects, aid crew leaders read and implement proposals and designs, anticipate logistics of jobs such as pulling permits, marking utilities, coordinate logistics, materials, equipment, and tools needed for jobs with crew leaders and shop managerManage gardening staff as a supervisor - Contribute to hiring process, make performance assessments, liaise with Owner regarding personnel actions, enforce and develop business policiesGuide and work alongside crews in effectively and efficiently maintaining gardens guided by proper horticultural practicesSet schedules for gardening visits and projects; set crew assignments; notify clients of upcoming visitsConduct training programs, plan training sessions, onboarding, and additional training and educationDevelop and recommend innovations to operating procedures within a system of continuous improvementWinter planning and setup for following season, winter prep of equipment, tools, materials, sops for upcoming season.Partner with Owner on multiple facets of business operationPerform other duties as assigned· Experience in ornamental gardening, landscape, or related work experience - 3 years preferred with 1 year supervisoryJob location - Superior Charter Township (Ypsilanti), near Ann Arbor, MISalaried Pay - $60,000 to $90,000 with an additional %15 available in variable pay.Incentive ProgramHealth InsurancePTOFull-time, full year
