Summary/Objective:Troubleshoot and repair production process lines, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC issues. Perform preventative maintenance on production process lines and related equipment. Assist with equipment retrofits/upgrades as needed. Occasional painting of equipment or facility. Maintain building and grounds as needed. Perform calibration of equipment as needed (i.e. spark testers, etc.). Electrical test equipment presents exposure to high voltage. Frequent lifting and maneuvering of reels required. Work involves close contact with oiled and greased equipment. Indoor and outdoor environmental work required. Work on high temperature machines with moving parts and live electrical panels is required. Working in the office environment involves computers in laboratory, phones, and other personnel in close proximity. Willing to work flexible hours if needed for business purposes.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Using both hands for simple grasping/torquing, firm grasping/torquing and firm manipulation. Ability to use head and neck in static, frequent flexing/extension and frequent rotating positions. Ability to sit, stand and walk. PPE as needed: (e.g. safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, standard work gloves, heat resistant gloves, chemical resistant gloves).Required Education:2-year technical degree or equivalent certification experience
