Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and innovative Automation Engineer to enhance and optimize our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain automated systems that improve efficiency, safety, and productivity in the warehouse environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy solutions that align with business goals while ensuring smooth integration with existing processes.Key Responsibilities:Design, program, and implement automated systems (e.g., conveyors, robotics, sorting systems) to improve warehouse processes.Develop custom automation solutions tailored to warehouse needs.Perform routine maintenance and inspections of automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automated systems to minimize downtime.Analyze warehouse workflows to identify bottlenecks and recommend automation opportunities.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Integrate automated systems with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Conduct system testing and validation to ensure reliability and safety compliance.Collaborate with operations, IT, and engineering teams to align automation strategies with business objectives.Train warehouse staff on the proper use and maintenance of automated systems.Ensure all automated systems comply with relevant safety and industry regulations.Implement fail-safes and redundancy measures for critical systems.Qualifications:Bachelor/Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and other automation technologies.Proficiency in automation software and tools (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, AutoCAD).Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics.Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Relevant certifications in automation, robotics, or industrial engineering are a plus.
