Raw Materials Specialist - Freelance

We are looking for a Freelance Raw Materials Specialist for a top fashion company in New York, New York. This is a hybrid position based out of the New York office.Responsibilities:Support RM Director to create and maintain seasonal raw material portfolios.Monitor developments, troubleshoot issues and facilitate solutions when possible. Closely communicate with manager and Hub teams / mills to resolve any issues / delays and minimize quality problems.Gather and review fabric submits, FDS sheets, and test reports.Maintain physical fabric records, presentation boards, and digital database / PLM / Centric.Assess and call-out high risk fabric developments as part of Stage 1 risk assessment.Daily communication with cross-functional teams, overseas mills, .Work closely with Sourcing team in order to deliver timely proto & salesman samples.Check all fabric details for correct quality, finish, and color prior to ordering bulk.Other related duties / special projects as required.Required Qualifications:Experience with raw materials sourcing or development.Must have fabric or textile background experience.Technical experience is a plus.Bachelor's Degree in Textiles, Design, or related field strongly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required.Basic technical understanding of textiles required.Web PLM preferred.Strong organizational skills.Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page DistinctionSolomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
