Associate Sales Engineer

Position based in company's corporate offices in Los Angeles (Westwood). The company maintains production and research operations in several U.S. locations and distributes worldwide. Customers include Apple, NASA, Space X, and Johnson & Johnson.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for fielding inbound Requests for Quote (RFQ), creating and sending price quotes to customers, and maintaining customer correspondence records. The successful candidate must have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Seasoned Associate Sales Engineers will transition to Sales Engineer and Senior Sales Engineer positions.JOB DESCRIPTION:Product sales based on RFQ's and direct repeat customer requestsQuote and correspondence management of delegated customer listOrder entry and process managementHands-on work with and mentorship by Senior Sales EngineersEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:B.A. or B.S degree (chemistry or other science/engineering desirable)Well-versed in Excel and the operation of a functional databaseSKILLS:Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects effectivelyProactive, adaptable and solution-focusedMarket/internet research and analysisAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
