Human Resources Manager Needed in Newbury Park, CA (in-office)Pay Range: $110k - $120kIndustry: ConstructionExcellent Benefits Package, great culture and growth opportunityMUST HAVES:HR experience in a manufacturing, construction, or similar environment7+ years of hands-on HR experienceAt least 3 years of supervisory or HR Management experienceStrong experience with Work Comp, Safety, and Employees RelationsBilingual Spanish Job Description Purpose - The HR Manager is responsible for implementing, updating and maintaining systems that ensure company's HR program complies with the law and provides an atmosphere that promotes company culture. This position is a key role in the company's Leadership Team, and ensures that the HR department is operating in alignment with company goals and core values. The HR Manager shall staff the department appropriately, based on their skills, to accommodate the wide variety of needs for the small business environment. Implement systems to manage processes required to maintain compliance and create an environment that supports employee needsSupport managers with recruiting process, scanning of applicants, handle the pre-drug testing and pre-physical appointmentsConduct new-employee orientations; manage employee files and information into software systems.Administer the termination process; comply with COBRA & CA regulations.Manage benefit administration, open enrollment, Health, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life Insurance.Responsible for all employee relations and investigationsAdminister workers' compensations claims and disability claims Process wage orders and child support garnishment ordersAssist w/ payroll inquiries or issues; quarterly and year-end taxes. Process prevailing wage documentation; DAS-140 and certified payroll for publicly funded construction projectsPrepare and assist in executing performance evaluations; monitors career path and compensation program for all staff in coordination with CEO and managers.Implement and annually updates the compensation program; rewrite job descriptions as necessary; conduct annual salary surveys; analyze compensationProvide coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees to make recommendations for improvements. Attend trainings and seminars to stay current on HR LawsMaintain compliance with Federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations. Safety Compliance ManagementDevelop, maintain and enforce CAL OSHA policiesKeep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions Organize and conduct CAL/OSHA and Company training plans Complete OSHA 300 forms Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issuesConduct monthly safety meetings and quarterly meetingsMaintain compliance with DOT BIT program Bud to Boss FacilitatorConduct monthly meetings w/ production staff and management Assist with special events planning and coordinationAnything the CEO requires outside the general scope outlined aboveCompetenciesSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position includes a budget for staff required to meet the needs of the department.
