Immediate need for a talented Raw Materials Specialist. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Water Street Manhattan, NY(Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Skills-Raw Material Knowledge, Fabric and Garments and Textile industry.Individual contributor position responsible for the quality of colors and fabrics including garments and components to assure final product quality.Assist in the technical development, pre-production and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production.Visit company stores on regular basis to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and color under store lighting conditions.Typically reports to manager of Textile Technology.Typically directs Assistant Textile Technologist.College degree in technical education, or equivalent experience.3-5 years' experience in fabric and color development.Our client is a leading clothing and beauty retailer Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
