Our dedicated recruiters offer a personalized service to make sure we truly understand your employment needs.General Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Providers (NP's and PA's) to join our Healthcare Team. As an Advanced Practice Provider (NP and PA). You will provide psychiatric services including administering and supervising evidence-based treatment with an emphasis on medical or somatic therapies; medication evaluation and management, identification of potential physical problems impacting the mental and physical health of consumers, ordering and monitoring appropriate laboratory tests, consultation and collaboration with primary care providers, and consultation with emergency psychiatric services.You will provide ongoing evaluation and treatment of clients with medications in addition to other forms of therapeutic interventions.Essential Functions: Act in a leadership/supervisory role within the assigned treatment teamsProvide psychiatric diagnostic and medication evaluations, and provides consumers with medication education and psycho-education, at MHP sites or sites with whom the MHP has contractual agreements, such as hospitals, jails, community health clinics, schools and day treatment programsCollaborate with clinical staff on treatment planning of individual clientsParticipate in internal consultation with other professionals in the organization as well as with outside agenciesLiaison with client Primary Care Physician (PCP) and facilitates medical care, and when appropriate, transfer of care to the PCPParticipate as an active member in multi-disciplinary teams providing comprehensive case management services to clientsRegularly participates in team meetingsPrepare documentation for certifications and court-ordered medicationsAttend court to support requests for short-term and long-term certification of clients for involuntary treatmentDocument provision of services, assessments, evaluations and treatment goals and plan consistent with clinical and administrative policies and proceduresParticipate in multidisciplinary focus groups, committees, and task forces charged with researching and improving clinical practices and developing or updating programs and business processesOrder and monitors appropriate laboratory tests at clinically indicated frequencyProvide crisis support for clinical emergencies at clinical site, and provides consultation to EPS during office hours as scheduled by Chief Medical OfficerReport high risk/problem cases and solicits consultation/help as neededRespond effectively to consumer needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions and provides timely response to phone calls, pages, email and other requestsProvide clinical and administrative supervision to medical students and residentsServe as acting Medical Director when neededMay provide after hours on call psychiatric services at frequency negotiated with Chief Medical OfficerPromote and demonstrate our mission, vision and values through both behavior and job performance on a day to day basisEffectively interacts and communicates with other staff/clients/customers/partners/etc.Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform other essential functions of the jobParticipate in educational instruction for medical students, psychology and social work interns, and with outside agencies as neededMay supervise PA's or nurse practitionersOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsActive APP License in ColoradoEligible for DEA licensure (new graduates should obtain within a year of hire).Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.Advanced Practice Provider with a minimum of 1 year experience working with all populations in a Behavioral Health or Primary Care setting preferredBilingual in SpanishMust be self-motivated and able to perform work in accordance with defined operating procedures.Ability to develop and maintain inclusive and equitable relationships with patients, caregivers and staffExperience working with community resources from diverse backgroundsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Must be comfortable interacting with patients and care teams both telephonically and in-person.Available to work full time hours Monday through Friday between 8am-5pmBenefits Once you have been a Full Time contract employee of Medix for 30 days, you become eligible for our Benefits Program.
