District Partners has been engaged to assist in the search for a Director of Development for a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth who have faced poverty and non-medical adversity. Their mission is to transform lives by broadening perspectives and igniting passions through unique and impactful experiences.The Director of Development is a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission. This dynamic and motivated professional will oversee donor relations and outreach initiatives, manage diverse fundraising activities, coordinate events, and harness in-kind resources. We are seeking a candidate who is professional, personable, and mission-driven, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. This individual will play a key role in developing new relationships with prospective supporters and nurturing existing ones to ensure the organization's sustained growth and impact.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Fundraising LeadershipDevelop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and development plan that aligns with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.Identify innovative approaches to enhance fundraising efforts and outreach capabilities.Grow donor base through active research, networking, and engagement opportunities.Lead and inspire the Development Committee and Board in fundraising efforts.Donor Relations and EngagementCultivate strong, long-term relationships with donors by implementing engaging communication and recognition strategies that encourage ongoing support.Design and execute donor retention programs to ensure continued investment in the mission.Event Planning and ManagementLead and coordinate inspiring fundraising events, ensuring they effectively communicate and support the organization's mission.Collaborate with team members, volunteers, and external partners to optimize event logistics and sponsorships.Grant Writing and ManagementResearch, identify, and secure funding from various grant-making entities, ensuring applications align with funding criteria and organizational needs.Manage grant reporting and foster relationships with funding organizations and stakeholders.Community Outreach and CollaborationEngage with community organizations and networks to increase the organization's visibility and explore partnership opportunities.Represent the organization at community events and public forums to advocate for the mission and expand reach.Data-Driven Decision MakingUtilize analytics to evaluate the success of development initiatives, guide decision-making, and enhance future strategies.Prepare detailed reports on development activities, progress, and forecasts for the executive team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.At least 3 to 5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related field, with evidence of successful donor engagement and fundraising outcomes.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of inspiring and influencing stakeholders.Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Passion for empowering youth and a deep commitment to the organization's mission and values.Why Join Us:Be a part of a mission-focused team that believes in making impactful changes in the lives of youth through transformative experiences.Lead and innovate in a supportive and dynamic environment dedicated to professional growth.Competitive benefits package with opportunities for growth, a positive work environment, and ongoing learning and development opportunities.To Apply:Please submit your resume and salary requirements to the designated contact provided by District Partners.
