A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a promising opportunity at one of their schools in Queens. In this role, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for help children with developmental disabilities to access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities.Responsibilities:The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for:Providing the best possible quality care to all studentsEvaluating and treating students with disabilitiesMaintaining daily progress and attendance recordsWriting progress reportsAttending IEP meetingRecommending adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations or assistive technologyPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:6+ months of Speech Language Pathology experience (New graduates are encourage to apply!)Bachelor's DegreeNYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licenseTSSLD certificationSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
