Construction Project Manager

Hybrid in Chicagoland Area Full-Time OpportunityABOUT THE ROLE:As a Senior Project Manager, Construction & Development, you'll play a key role in managing data center construction projects with a strong emphasis on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. From planning and permitting to budgeting, contract negotiations, and execution, you'll ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining cost controls and quality standards.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Oversee the planning, permitting, and execution of major data center projectsDevelop RFPs for General Contractors and collaborate with ProcurementLead capital planning presentations for Director-level reviewNegotiate contracts with Architects, Engineers, and General ContractorsManage project budgets, schedules, and weekly progress reportsCoordinate with utility providers and lead OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetingsImplement recycling programs to enhance sustainability during constructionOversee the documentation lifecycle of design-build projectsWork closely with the Senior Data Center Construction Manager on technical, contractual, and procurement mattersLead weekly project status meetings and ensure on-time, on-budget project deliveryWHAT YOU BRING: 7+ years of experience in data center development, general construction, and MEP systemsDeep understanding of large real estate developmentsProven leadership experience (4+ years leading teams)Expertise in general contracting, project accounting & procurement, construction/project managementStrong background in data center construction and critical facility infrastructureAbility to troubleshoot, enforce schedules, and maintain project qualityExperience managing multiple high-value projects simultaneouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project (2003+), and project management toolsExcellent communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the organizationWHAT'S NEXT?Apply Now!Reach out to hanna.bergeson@ with any questions.
