$41.30 - $59.00 (est. hourly)Job Summary:Our client is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team! This position is located in Glendale, California.Duties:Develop comprehensive documentation that adheres to organizational standards, ensuring clarity and accuracy for a wide range of usersGain a deep understanding of data products, services, and technical infrastructure, translating complex information into accessible, user-friendly contentCreate engaging content that meets the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling user success through clear guidanceBuild and maintain a detailed repository of reference materials, including research notes, usability studies, and design specificationsAssess current content for quality and effectiveness, proposing and implementing innovative methods for continuous improvementCollaborate with data engineers, software developers, product managers, and UX teams to gather information and understand project requirementsResearch, outline, write, and edit various types of documentation, such as procedure manuals, API developer guides, configuration guides, in-platform instructions, and integration guides for team members, partner teams and end usersDevelop and maintain information architecture templates that support easy updates and data migration, adhering to organizational and legal standardsEvaluate, organize, and update existing documentation repositories, working with development leads to establish best practices for content management and storageCreate alternate formats (e.g., video demos, guided tours) for documentation to maximize usability and engagementDesired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Communications, Journalism, or a relevant technical field5+ years of technical writing experience, with a proven ability to learn and communicate complex subject matter effectivelyStrong written communication skills and excellent attention to detailExperience collaborating with engineering teams to enhance user experience through content and visual aidsProficiency in content management systems, XML, or other documentation tools, with experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasksWorking knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience creating technical documentation for various audience levels, from end-users to system administratorsAbility to tailor documentation based on the audienceBenefits:Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans401K offered
