Job Title: Mechanical EngineerLocation: Kansas City, MO (Relocation Assistance Provided)Job Description:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mechanical design and analysis, with a strong background in SolidWorks and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Candidates with experience in wiring diagrams and hands-on work with mobile equipment or automotive systems are highly encouraged to apply, although these qualifications are not mandatory.Key Responsibilities:Develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.Conduct FMEA to identify potential failure modes, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.Interpret and apply GD&T principles for accurate and effective designs.Create and review technical documentation, including detailed drawings, wiring diagrams (preferred), and specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of designs.Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.4+ years of experience as an EngineerProven experience with FMEA, SolidWorks, and GD&T.Familiarity with wiring diagrams (preferred but not required).Hands-on experience with mobile equipment or automotive systems is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
